Cali: Making the Light Beautiful!

Images that I captured for our "windowlight" assignment. A million thank you's to the lovely and talented Miss Cali Lowdermilk http://photobycali.blogspot.com/ for taking time out of her crazy schedule to come model for me. I have been wanting to photograph this beauty for over a year. Let me know what you think....

^ My class submission

A Day with Don Bullock

Time to plug something I believe in! Our portrait class recently spent the day with very smart man by the name of Don Bullock. He owns and operates a local print lab. This is one of the few labs in the country that still does REAL prints, meaning the image is IN the paper, not ON the paper. The result is an archival quality and appearance that is rare these days. They will even send you a free sample so you can see for yourself: http://realenduraphotographs.com/

Order your prints here, shipping is fast and FREE! http://www.hdphotolab.com/
Give them a try! In case you're wondering, I'm not making a dime for telling you about Bullock's, I just believe in the product and want to share it with you.

Here is Don showing us the "miracle machine" that
makes their beautiful prints.

Nick and Torii Engaged?

No. They aren't really engaged. They just did a little acting for my project. They will also be playing the part of our pretend Bride and Groom for the upcoming mock wedding, so you'll be seeing more of this adorable couple. Yes, they are really a couple and a great one at that! Thanks for helping me with this Nick and Torii!

This was my submitted image...

^^^ This image is NOT upside down! Look carefully and you may see that it's actually a reflection in a puddle of water!

Charlean is All Business!

My friend and co-worker, Charlean, came into the studio to help me out with my business woman assignment. The first image is my class submission. Once we took care of business we decided to have her change into a few casual outfits and have some fun. Here are a few of my favorites!

Going Elsewhere- Greensboro, NC!

This was an assignment for my Multimedia Class. I'm new to the audio/video editing, so keep that in mind. Ha! I spent some time in a very interesting museum in downtown Greensboro, NC.

Makes a Mom Proud!

While my son was visiting from Florida, over the 2009 Christmas break, he agreed to do some modeling for me. I have always said that he is probably one of the most photographed children in the world. He has always been my favorite subject!

Another Multimedia Project

These photos were shot at a local gift shop here in town called Asheboro Farm & Garden. I did my project on how the recession has affected this small business. I'm hoping to get the actual finished project posted soon. Just waiting to learn how to do that. Stay tuned...

Business Man

This sitting was done for my "business man" assignment.

Going Elsewhere

We recently had to do a multimedia project on the character of Greensboro, NC. I chose to do my assignment on a cool little museum/art studio called Elsewhere. Check them out on the web at http://elsewhereelsewhere.org/

Torii's Engagement and Bridal Sitting

One of our classmates, Torii, agreed to model for me for my engagement portrait assignment (no, she is not actually engaged). We decided to go ahead and make it a bridal sitting as well, since she looked extra pretty with her hair up. Thanks Torii!

This pose looked even prettier in sepia tone.

Loving the cute red shoes under the traditional white gown.

^This is the pose I used for my engagement assignment.

Having a little fun with the pretty lady in red!
